Annual Fundraising Race – A Fun Endurance Race for a Charitable Cause

Outward Bound Hong Kong, as an outdoor experiential education leader rooted in Sai Kung for over 50 years, has designed wonderful and mysterious routes for you: including trail running, kayaking, orienteering, water challenge, along with a few mystery tasks thrown in along the way.

Whether you are a family, youth, adult, elite group or a corporate challenge, there is a team challenge suitable for you!

There will also be a Youth Music Festival held as a post-game engagement event, filling our annual gathering with great singing, laughter and delicious food.

Proceeds will be used to support Outward Bound’s work to #FutureProofYOUth by providing high quality outdoor experiential education to underprivileged youth.

REGISTRATION FEE & DONATION

The registration fee is the mandatory cost to register for the event, due at the time of sign-up.

There is also a minimum donation requirement for all teams, which can be fundraised from family and friends prior to the race.

DONATION 捐款

Fundraising is a fundamental part of the Multi Race. Each enrolled team is requested to raise a minimum amount of donations, with the proceeds to support Outward Bound's work to #FutureProofYOUth by providing high quality outdoor experiential education.

[On or before 14 Sept]

We reserve the right to disqualify any teams from participation if they are not able to submit the minimum amount donations by end of business on 14 Sep .

[On or before 9 Nov]

A donation platform is open until 9 Nov and we encourage you to raise extra donations. Tax-deductible receipts will be issued for donations of HK$100 or above.

Cancellation Policy

Event Cancellation

Should the Event be cancelled due to weather or other circumstances beyond the control of the Organiser or in the case of a Force Majeure resulting in the Event being cancelled, 25% of the registration fee paid by an applicant will be charged as administration cost. The Organiser shall have no other responsibilities and/or liabilities in relation to cancellation of the Event.

Force Majeure

Includes and is not limited to the Organiser being unable to perform its obligations or organise or hold the Event due to fire, flood, earthquake, or other severe natural disaster or act of God; or due to protest, riot, civil disobedience, uprising, march, revolt, assembly, demonstration, occupation, commotion, mass gathering, war, insurrection, sabotage, pandemic, epidemic, or terrorist attack or the likelihood of such event or act. A reduction of the approved quota by the Hong Kong SAR Government by the Hong Kong SAR Government which are more stringent than those already approved by the Hong Kong SAR Government shall be deemed to be a Force Majeure.

Weather

The Event will be cancelled if tropical cyclone warning signal no.3 or above, or a red or black rainstorm signal is hoisted by the Hong Kong Observatory at 5:00 am or thereafter on the race day (i.e. 12 October 2024, Saturday). Please pay special attention to the weather forecast the night before the Event as it will indicate whether tropical cyclone warning signals, red or black rainstorm signals are likely to be hoisted in the forthcoming period. Please follow updates on the radio or TV announcements regarding the status of the Event from 5:00 am onwards on the Event day.

The benefits of providing quality outdoor experiential education are well known and every Hong Kong youth deserves to benefit so that they can be part of Hong Kong's successful future. A recent report showed that every $1 invested in an Outward Bound experience returned $9 in social benefits during the participants' lifetime.
