Why Outward Bound Hong Kong?
As part of the Outward Bound International network - represented in 35 countries – OBHK have access to expertise across the globe, which informs and develops ours and OBI’s ‘good practice’ philosophy.


Outward Bound Hong Kong have been accredited by AEE since 2011.
AEE is an international organisation that reviews and accredits Outdoor Educational Organisations who meet their international standards. The standards – over 250 of them – look at all areas of operation to ensure the viability of the organisation.

Outward Bound Hong Kong receive the Judges' Choice Award for "Best Experiential Learning Provider" at the GBA School Awards organized by 21st Century Learning (21CL).
We are the largest outdoor instructor training school in Hong Kong.
Our History
What does "Outward Bound" mean?
Originally named for the nautical term for a ship’s departure, the term ‘Outward Bound’ has been adapted and evolved to represent a global institution whose ethos and purpose is to help people discover and care for themselves and in so doing, empower them to care for those around them.
Currently, the Outward Bound network consists of 38 independent Outward Bound Schools, in 35 countries, across 6 continents.
